How Long Dies Temaze Take To Work

The "Language Acquisition Course

We have now reached the second week of the course. Together with 10 other mission candidates, we are prepared to learn a foreign language. There have been very informative days. We were taught how to learn a foreign language without a language teacher and school. How is that possible? Have been developed various methods and techniques and tested in practice, which we were then taught. We could even go a step further. The leaders of the course have organized a learning assistant. Thus we were able to implement the theory into practice right. While the units with our learning assistants try out, we could fit the methods and techniques to us and later could be helpful to us. In addition, we were able to learn the first words of Chichewa. Meanwhile, we can even make a few sentences. What encourages us to continue learning. We know of course that still a large distance ahead of us and that there will come a few low blows. Therefore, we need your help in prayer. Please pray with us that we are a lot of strength and endurance Get to learn Chichewa.

As part of the course we were on the last weekend in China Town. We were divided into groups and sent to various issues in business. It helped that we got a glimpse of culture, religion and customs of China. The research and exchanges within the group have opened our eyes, in various forms. The impressions can be summed up in a few sentences. The morning time has been to us how essential is a good preparation for long-term missionaries and how intense it has to deal with the culture.

As a crowning conclusion we have then a joint Chinese meal made for us. Although we could not always determine what we eat everything so, but have tasted it.
