Today we want to tell you of why Tuesdays are special days at the Adam House.
Tuesday we will receive our weekly food donation. Between 11 and 12 clock noon, a large truck from Second Harvest comes fully loaded with food donated by various stores or restaurants. It is always a big surprise, what is donated.
evening by 19 clock a Bible study is offered here in the house. Many of the residents come forward and be happy to it. Some former residents coming back here to attend the Bible studies. Yesterday Tobias held his first Bible study here. After the Bible study held a dinner being prepared by the staff for the present. Sometimes already started in the afternoon to cook and you can imagine that depending on what it is, a very nice effort. On some Tuesdays, we serve up to 30 people. What we cook depends on the donations that we receive at noon. Tuesdays are so very busy, but wonderful days.
Today we want to tell you about Adam Tuesdays in-house and why they are really special. On Tuesdays we get our weekly food donations. Between 11 and 12 in the afternoon, a big truck from Second Harvest would come, loaded with a lot of food. It´s always a big surprise to see what we´ll get.
In the evenings at 7 pm we have a bible study. A lot of residents really enjoy the bible studies and even some former residents come and join us. Yesterday, Tobias had his first bible study here. After the bible study we have a community dinner, which would be prepared by staff members for all the persons present. Sometimes, we already start in the afternoons to prepare the dinner, you can imagine that this can be a lot of work, depending on what we´re going to cook. On some Tuesdays there are up to 30 people present for dinner. What we're cooking depends on the donations we get in the afternoons. As you can see, but Tuesdays are very busy, so nice days.
